South America

Travelling in South America is larger than life. South America is the home of the worlds largest rainforest. It has the largest river and arguably the most picturesque waterfalls. South America is also where you will find great ruins and great parties. If youy want to see grandeur, this is the place.

Brazil

Brazil is home to the Amazon River and Rainforest. There are several adventures offered for these destinations where you will see amazing wildlife and impressive jungles. In Rio De Janeiro, you will find the greatest party in Carnivale. Although there is much to offer, there is a danger too. Unfortunately, crime is all over the place. Although there are now a police force for the tourist zones, it still is not the safest of places. This may be a big negative for those who like to venture around.

Argentina

Often overlooked, Argentina is home to the most cosmopolitan city in Central America, Buenos Aires. Argentina also has the Iguazu Falls, which is located on the Brazilian border and is the widest set of waterfalls in the world. Upon her first glimpse, Eleanor Roosevelt said, "Poor Niagara". Although they are located in Argentina, the best views are from Brazil and the best times to see it are in Spring and Fall, when there is the most water flowing.

Argentina is also home to glaciers and penguins in the south and are worth a trip in itself. If planning a trip, the best bet may be to tkae a cruise that will offer multiple destinations, because Argentina offers plenty to see, but they are scattered over a large area.

Peru

High in the Andes in the Peru is Machu Pichu. Once the center of the Inca civilization, it is a large network of ruins that are beyond compare. Although the air is a bit thinner at these heights, it is well worth the trip. In oter areas in Peru, you will find an interesting contrasts of olds and new with Spanish buildings being built upon Inca foundations. This is also the destination where you will find the giant etchings in the desert terrain of various figures.

Chile

Comprising of a very long strip of costal land between the Pacific Ocean and the foothills of the Andes, Chile offers a variety ocean settings. It is a modern destination that is friendly and fun.
